TRACE

TRACE is an independent publication launched in January 2026 by Hernan Salcedo. It is a personal journey to reflect on technology, the future, and how both shape people and leadership.

About the author

I am originally from Colombia and have lived and worked across the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. My professional background is rooted in HR and enterprise technology, specifically large-scale HR transformations across complex, multinational organizations. Working across different regions and cultures has shaped how I see change: not as a technical problem, but as a deeply human one.

Much of my experience has been shaped by being close to systems, processes and people as they adapt to new technologies and new ways of working.

Over the years I have come to see that technology itself is rarely the most difficult part of change. What tends to matter more are decisions, alignment and leadership, especially when organizations are asked to move faster than their structures and habits comfortably allow. This space is intended for reflection on those dynamics, rather than for conclusions or formulas for success.

I do not write to promote a single viewpoint or to predict the future. I write to observe, to think carefully and to create room for reflection in a world where speed often leaves little space for it.
